Wednesday Update
Wednesday morning I received the following email:

No you will not recieve any demands as of yet. If he makes it through the lab experiment, then we shall talk. I have included a photograph to ensure you that he is still alive. He's a resilient little bugger and he put up a heck of a fight. I will be in touch in the near future.
