I have discovered some new evidence.

The first email was received at 8:20am on Tuesday morning. According to my sources, Chad Leatherland is the only person in our area who logged into mail.gmail.com between 8:00am and 9:00am.

Chad had the means, and the opportunity. His motive is either to inflict terror (which would make him a terrorist), or for financial gain.

Know this - I do not negotiate with terrorists! Return the monkey unharmed and I will go easy on you!

Thursday Update

Thursday, I received the following email:

Hello. This is a photograph of monkeys first lab test. He seems to make less noise when he goes into his plastic capsule. I think I will let him sleep there this evening. I will send an email once I have the results of lab 2.

Wednesday Update

Wednesday morning I received the following email:

I have this cute little stuffed monkey that I got in Jasper, and I was keeping it at work. Tuesday morning when I came into work, it was gone!

I then received the following email:

Later that morning, I received another email from the hostage takers:

By now you can imaging the panic I am feeling knowing that some sicko has my taken monkey for who knows what reason!
